User centered design cycle and IBM one UI design serves as a guideline through user research, ideation and interaction Design, prototyping and development. My role as a designer is to enhance and simplify the current features, designing and building user interface/prototypes for the new features. The cycle of each design follows an agile process: User study, team scrum ideation, alternatives sketching, comparative analysis, alternatives prototyping, usability evaluation and visual rendering.
I tried to use the existing patterns for "Who connects us" page. After reviewing the alternatives, I was luckily got encouraged by the team to go ahead and design a new pattern through the UCD.
I created another animated view just for fun in my free time.
Here is a one week project I collaborated with Watson researchers to help explore the design that would showcase the abilities of an algorithm built from data collected from the social network such Twitter, Facebook. The requirement is design an initiative interaction allows a user to get a quick overview over what their personality portrait looks like and also enable them to interactively explore the portrait in more details. It’s on touchable screen and they want to build something that is fun to use and has a Hi-tech interface look. The interaction idea here is , spin the wheel, personality data such as openness to new experiences, openness to change will show up. Click on buttons or graphics will bring the audience to the detailed page.
